In tune with the love towards classic athleticwear brands like Champion, Fila or Ellesse, who are bringing to the market nostalgia-evoking logo-fueled retro collections, another old sportswear acquaintance is sending signals of a comeback: the tear-away pant, better known as "popper pants".

Back in the Noughties, especially Adidas' Adibreak training pants in the iconic navy blue and orange hues were a must-have among high school teens and gym freaks. The pants allowed for an immediate cool down after a work-out by simply unlocking both pant sides, creating a strong billowing appearance.

Although it's still too soon to call it a widespread phenomenon, truth is that the pants are rising from their ashes and sneaking into various spring/summer assortments.
Brands such as Han Kjøbenhavn, Astrid Andersen and Publish have already incorporated first adaptions of the button-loaded pants in their collections and guess what? They look much sleeker and hipper than their couch-potato affiliated ancestor. Han Kjøbenhavn even paired their monochrome popper pants version with blazers and checked coats at Copenhagen Fashion Week this summer....
