In order to further emphasize its commitment to the sustainable cause and further sensitive the industry to choose to pursue this path, within the last October edition of Kingpins Amsterdam, CHT Group has launched “Lab102 – Blue veins of CHT”, a new brand, slogan and division dedicated to jeans and garment treatment.



Lab102 focuses not only on chemistry, but also on technology. Fogging, laser, and ozone technologies are innovations that help to reach new and more sustainable jeans and garment treatments that help increase water and energy saving.

Among some of the developments offered by this dedicated division, Lab102 offers a series of products that help cut emissions and reducing the impact of jeans and garment production and finishing.



 

Among them, they created Organiq EMS Jeans, a flexible modular system that can be used by combining different modules that can help achieve a huge, highly ecological, range of classic and extravagant denim looks.

For instance, Organiq Seek or Organiq Bleach, combined with Organiq Biopower, can become a valid and highly sustainable alternative to the use of stones, potassium permanganate and chlorine will no longer be necessary.




Organiq Neutral, instead, is a product sub-processes that can be used for achieving a more environmentally friendly bleaching process, environmentally friendly, and, among other uses, offers an ecological alternative to conventional neutralization agents in bleaching processes using, for instance, chlorine or ozone.




Other products offered by the Lab102 division include Garment Protect Range smart auxiliaries. During the manufacturing of a garment, it is important to protect the textile from potential hazards at various stages of the process. With the Garment Protect Range, CHT offers various products that protect the textiles in industrial laundry and dyeing processes without damaging the quality of the garment.





The new division is also offering a series of products meant to create special effects on garments, like, for instance, fashionable coatings that can create effects like suede, leather, metallic, glitter and luster effects, but also oil and water-repellent fishes as well as fluorine-free repellent finishes. Moreover, in order to achieve various bleaches, including acid wash or ecological effects, manufacturers can use the Organiq products range.

Besides, Lab102 offers a series of special treatment used for jeans production. Among them, there is desizing, a highly efficient low temperature treatment that ensures quick decomposition of starch sizes and low back staining. Other effects can also be achieved by using a cellulase-based stone wash technique that helps save energy, as it can be effective at 30 °C or 45 °C. 





Among other key innovations related to jeans production the newborn division has also developed the possibility to create used areas obtained with laser technology, but also ozonation of jeans for all over bleaching effects, together with the use of low liquor technologies that help save water in exhaust processes, as well as nebulization systems. All these technologies help achieve state-of-the-art final product result along thanks to solutions that are highly efficient and innocuous at the same time.
