The 19th edition of the Premium Young Designers Award kicked off the Berlin Fashion Week on the evening of July 7, 2014, at the Wyndham Grand Berlin Potsdamer Platz. The Premium team awarded three young designers in the categories of womenswear, menswear and accessories.

In the womenswear category, Berlin designer Marina Hoermanseder won the prize. The French-Austrian designer showed a collection in refined craftsmanship with progressive cuts, experimenting with unconventional contrasts.
The winner of the menswear category was the young label Maxhosa of the African designer Laduma with his menswear collection combining traditional patterns with classic lines, including a range of knitwear pieces.
Winner of the accessory category was the London-based menswear brand Deji George, founded in 2012 by Tolani Tubi, which presented accessories for men with a unique approach to classic design.

The winners of the Premium Young Designers Award will be given a stand at the fall/winter 2015 Premium. As another part of their prize, the emerging designers will get the opportunity to present their collections in the windows of the Galeries Lafayette Berlin next season, parallel to the Premium Talents showcase. A selection of the collections will also be available for customers in the pop-up area at Galeries Lafayette.
