Première Vision will launch a new event in China in November 2020. It will take part side by side with Fashion Source, a leading textile and fashion trade show in Asia, which happens twice a year in Shenzhen.
This new PV event will bring together a creative range of materials–yarns, fabrics, accessories, leathers, textile designs–from a broad selection of Asian and European producers.

Gilles Lasbordes, general manager of PV, said: “Despite the coronavirus, the situation hopefully will end soon in the coming months and China is going to be the world’s first market for apparel in the coming years–as it is already a top market in terms of sales for many European luxury brands. So we think it is important also to bring our industry over there in order to develop their business in that market.”
Fashion Source, founded in 2001, is dedicated to materials and manufacturers as well as clothing and accessories brands, and brings together the entire Chinese fashion industry. It is a leading apparel sourcing trade fair taking place in the South of the country and welcomes at each of its editions (in May and November) more than 1,500 exhibitors and 50,000 visitors from some 20 Asian, European and American countries.
“Since 2018, GL Events, which is a shareholder of Première Vision, has acquired Fashion Source which happens in Shenzhen, a city in the south of China part of an area which is growing very fast, and very important in itself,” continues Lasbordes. “Our project is to make a side by side show with Fashion Source in November, a similar concept of what we are doing in Portland with Première Vision Sport bringing to China our industry and selective offer. By the way, PV Sport is taking place right now, despite our partner in Portland, the other show, has decided to cancel. We didn’t as very few Chinese companies exhibit there as they are mainly from Japan, Korea and Taiwan and were able to arrive there. We decided to make our show happen and guarantee our service as the show must go on.”
The first two editions of the new show will take place November 27-29, 2020 and in May 2021 at the Shenzen Convention & Exhibition Center.
