UK sourcing and manufacturing expo Fashion SVP is holding its summer edition this week (25-26 June) in west London’s Olympia exhibition center. The show’s resident denim section, formerly known as Source Denim, will welcome Orta Anadolu as a first-time exhibitor, while Pioneer Denim is among the mills returning to the show. Both of these companies will present their latest innovations, with focus on sustainable solutions. Other denim manufacturers due to participate include Denim Club from India, Turkish suppliers Kilim Group and Tusa, and Marjomotex from Portugal.

Elsewhere, Fashion SVP has again partnered with Fashion Enter – the social enterprise striving be a center of excellence for sampling, grading, and production as well as learning and the development of skills within the fashion and textiles industry. Fashion SVP and Fashion Enter are joining forces to provide visitors with practical, interactive 'drop-in' workshops relevant for start-ups and established fashion players alike.

As for the seminar program, which we’ve always valued, the first day’s (25 June) denim-specific talk will tackle how “the sustainability narrative can shift from scarcity to abundance.” The talk will be given by Zennure Danışman, Orta Anadolu’s marketing and washing manager. The following day will see a panel talk headlined: “The continued development of future technologies and innovation in action – aiming to find concrete solutions to sustainability in denim.” The panel includes Mohiuddin Ahmed, Pioneer Denim’s CEO; Tim Browne, director of Ministry of Denim; and Oya Barlas Bingul of Lenzing Fibers.
