The international trade fair for the leather goods industry, ILM (Internationale Lederwaren Messe), is scheduled to take place in Offenbach September 5-7, 2020.
Arnd Hinrich Kappe, managing director of Messe Offenbach, says, “We are very confident and pleased that we will be holding the trade fair at the usual time. All measures regarding hygiene, distance and safety of exhibitors and visitors have been taken.”
According to a survey conducted among exhibitors and visitors, the date for ILM was found to be correct and was explicitly desired, according to the trade fair organizers, so a postponement was not needed.
ILM also offers exhibitors and visitors cost-cutting measures. For example, every exhibitor who operated a booth for ILM’s edition in March 2020 will receive a one-time 50% discount on the basic rent for their existing space for the coming ILM. Each new registration for the next ILM in September 2020 will receive a 20% discount on the basic rent. All exhibitors who choose a basic rental booth will receive a one-off 50% discount on the basic rental for the next edition.
ILM has also decided to offer discounts for visitors and buyers: For the ILM in September 2020 the trade fair will not charge admission fees. Free admission is only possible with prior online registration. The cost of parking tickets will also be waived. Special conditions will be negotiated with hotels and restaurants.
ILM’s dates for 2021 have also been fixed. Accordingly, ILM Winter Styles will happen March 6-8, 2021 and ILM Summer Styles September 4-6, 2021.
