So far, Revolver is one of the few trade fairs that will actually happen physically this season. As the fair organizers announced, the show will take place August 9-12 at two locations in Copenhagen, Øksnehallen and Forum (read more here). The division was made to distribute the number of people in such a way that all regulations and guidelines of the Danish Ministry of Health could be observed.
Christian Maibom, Revolver’s founder, says, “We’re so happy that the Danish authorities have being dealing so well with the Covid-19 situation, which has made it possible for us to open the doors for the s/s ’21 season at Revolver. This season will be like no other seasons before. The format will naturally reflect the current situation in society as well as in the fashion industry itself. There will be less hang-around, fewer selections, but much more straight to the point ‘business.’ In that way, the situation has brought something positive to the table. Another very optimistic aspect is to experience the Scandinavian brands ‘togetherness’ with Revolver. They are all showing Revolver a tremendous trust. It really gives great hope for the future.” Maibom continues: “Cancellation or skipping a season has never been an option for us, especially as we all remember the fast decline of Bread & Butter in Berlin.”
According to Revolver brands such as Henrik Vibskov, Rabens Saloner, Mads Nørgaard Copenhagen, Wood Wood, Rodebjer, Soulland, mfpen, Hope, Won Hundred and many others have confirmed their participation in the s/s 2021 edition.
CIFF decided not to hold the fair in its original form. Instead the trade show organizers introduce a new format that runs under the name Elevated Order Days by CIFF and will also take place August 9-12. The event will happen at CIFF Showrooms on the first and second floor at the Bella Center and focuses on sales, community and sustainability. Read more here.
Copenhagen Fashion Week presents a new hybrid format that will also take place August 9-12. CPHFW will curate a mix of live and pre-recorded content from brands on its digital platform and will also present “CPHFW Hub”–a physical centrally located hub that brings the industry together for social events, presentations, talks, interviews and more.
