The organizers of Performance Days, the trade fair for functional materials, have announced that the trade show will take place December 9-10, 2020 at the Messe München. The date has now been moved from October 28-29 to December. Parallel to the countdown for the physical fair, further digital tools will be created for the fair’s participants.
“Visitors to the fair report that, as expected, there was an overall drop in sales. Consequently, stationary traders have less in-store and warehouse space for additional products. Additionally, buyers, designers and product developers were unable to work as they usually did. Restructuring the daily working routine, timelines, and oneself, takes time. So the December deadline allows us all to reposition ourselves, and is helpful, if not necessary,” says Lena Weimer, senior marketing manager, Performance Days.
Since last week the Bavarian government has decided that trade fairs can again take place in Bavaria as of September 1, 2020. According to the Performance Days organizers it will be ensured that the upcoming fair will meet the health, legal, safety and quality requirements. The Bavarian Ministry of Health will devise the required hygiene concept along with trade fair authorities.
