Upheaval in the Berlin trade show scenery again: Panorama Fashion Fair Berlin GmbH, represented by its managing director Jörg Wichmann, has applied to open insolvency proceedings on its own assets at the Berlin district court of Charlottenburg last Friday, 28 February. This has just been published by our sister publication TextilWirtschaft.
After rumors had been spreading about the matter in the last days, the news became official by the announcement of the district court on Friday.
According to a statement by Wichmann to TextilWirtschaft, the trade show company, organizer of Panorama Berlin and Selvedge Run, wants to start a restructuring process: “We have pulled the plug. Now it’s our goal to create a new format. Things will definitely proceed in Tempelhof in summer.”
This January saw the debut of Panorama Berlin and Selvedge Run at the Tempelhof airport location–after several seasons at the Messe Berlin area this was meant to be a re-start of the overcome trade show format. Now things need to be revised once more.
Neonyt, the platform for sustainable fashion under the helm of Messe Frankfurt and Panorama’s neighbor at Tempelhof, will also remain at the very location, as TextilWirtschaft reports.
A statement by Anita Tillmann, managing partner of Premium Exhibitions (Premium, Seek, Fashiontech), on the current developments in the Berlin trade show scenery is expected in the next days.
