And yet another news from the Berlin trade show front: Panorama Berlin GmbH has just announced the acquisition of Selvedge Run.
The latter known as ”Trade show for quality garments and crafted goods“ with a focus on denim and heritage brands has been cooperating with Panorama Berlin already since two seasons, also by moving next to the Panorama Berlin location at the Berlin Messe area. Beginning of September the deal for the take-over was settled.
Jörg Wichmann, CEO, Panorama, and Shane Brandenburg, co-founder and sales manager, Selvedge Run, expect “important synergies” and “together work on exciting concepts for the industry”, as was stated in today’s press release.
”Selvedge Run represents authentic brands, products with a strong character and craftsmanship. By this fusion we see an important step to strengthen our direction and visions for the future and to put international industry topics further in the focus of action. With Selvedge Run being a part of Panorama we reach out to new target groups and create connecting synergies,” says Wichmann.
“After seven successful Selvedge Run editions it’s time for us to reach out to a new level. With the wide range and the logistic power of Panorama we see a good opportunity to unfold the full potential of our exhibitors and their brands and to open it to a wider audience,” says Brandenburg, who will hold responsible for the direction and concept of Selvedge Run and remain the face of the show.
From the winter edition on Selvedge Run will be prominently located in the hall at the south entrance (“Eingang Süd”) in the same building as Panorama Berlin. Apart from the known brand mix of Selvedge Run the portfolio in the entrance area shall be increased by so-called themes “Current”, “Sport” and “Active”.
