Due to government restrictions caused by the Corona virus the trade show organizers of Neonyt, which was originally scheduled to take place from June 30th - July 2nd, 2020, have decided that the event cannot take place in its current form.

In an official statement it says: “In conjunction with the still challenging global situation regarding COVID-19, the Federal Government and the States have decided to prohibit all major events up to and including the end of August 2020. Due to this, the summer edition of our Neonyt, from June 30th - July 2nd, 2020, cannot take place in its current form.

Nevertheless, this is not an easy step for us, especially since we know how intensive the event participation is and how important an event like the Neonyt is for the business success of all involved. At this point, we, the management of Messe Frankfurt, would like to take the opportunity to thank our community: for their understanding, their support and their continued positive attitude.”

Despite this, according to the statement, the trade fair organisers still have hopes that the situation will ease and that Neonyt could take place at a later date (late summer). There are also first considerations about a virtual format. The statement goes on to say that the non-binding exhibitor registration for Neonyt is still possible, provided that the health and economic situation of exhibitors, partners and visitors is at the forefront of all planned steps. The aim is to offer the industry a secure and future-oriented environment after the crisis as a valuable source of impetus for the economy. Neonyt is therefore striving to create a presentation platform in the second half of the year - in whatever form and at whatever time.
