Man, the most intimate of the three men’s trade shows, returned to Spring Studios in Tribeca with just 61 exhibitors, many of which are boutique lines from Europe or Asia. Despite terribly rainy weather on the final day of its three-day run, most brands said that they were pleased with the traffic.
Good quality was the overall trend and the aesthetic ranged from clean to trendsetting.
Here, in alphabetical order, were a few of our favorite finds there….

Andersen-Andersen
This gorgeous usually nautical-inspired knitwear brand from Denmark is celebrating a decade in business in 2019. To mark it, it is offering every style in its signature safety orange, which happens to be an important hue for fall 2019 overall.

Cableami
A Japanese headwear maker, its booth was consistently busy and people really responded to the on-trend bucket hats which look like they are made for urban outdoor fishermen.

Corelate
A four-year-old brand from Italy, Corelate made its New York show debut at Man and wowed with colorful sweaters with loose-fringe yarn detail.

Fred Perry
The British brand continues to offer excellent collaborative collections and offers a graphic-driven one from Raf Simons for fall with retro photo images of punks. And its new collaboration with Nicholas Daley looks mighty sharp as well.

Fronteeer
This outdoor-inspired brand sets itself apart with its use of unexpected color combinations such as black and purple in a cobranded boot with Manastash.

House of St. Clair
Based in Austin, Texas, House of St. Clair offers elegant, unusual items such as a velvet colorblocked shirt in gold and purple and a must-have for the season: a lush, patterned wool overcoat.

Portuguese Flannel
Flannel shirts are again all the rage for fall and Portuguese Flannel continues to be a master at making them.

Soullive
This Japanese denim brand continues to take inspiration from kimonos and ancient Japanese indigo fabric treatments. In the coming months it will change its name to Setto Indigo Label but its mastery of denim won’t change at all.

Sperry Top-Sider
It’s best known for its boat shoes but Sperry served up some cool looking boots this season in an unusual sage colorway.

Still By Hand
A long running men’s line from Japan, Still By Hand also hit the mark with an extremely handsome overcoat in super high quality fabrics.

Stutterheim
The Swedish raincoat label made its seasonal collection really jump out this time thanks to pops of Day-Glo green. (See Used Future below too).

Tarvas
A relatively new brand from Finland, Tarvas made a splash at the show with its attractive suede shoes in an earthy, autumnal color palette.

Used Future
Like Stutterheim, UF from Korea chose a fluorescent shade of green for its cool in-your-face outerwear.

You Must Create
The longstanding English line nailed the animal print trend with a cool leopard print jacket and matching shoes.
