The outbreak of coronavirus keeps on massively affecting the trade show business: Now the organizers of Kingpins have cancelled the Amsterdam edition which was meant to run 22-23 April in the new SugarCity location. Exhibitors have been informed about the cancellation in an email by Kingpins sent around on Friday.
"We did not reach this decision lightly - Kingpins Amsterdam is a hallmark event for us and for our industry. We know companies need to stay in touch with their customers and continue to pursue new business and we are seriously looking into how to help them do that. This is uncharted territory for all of us and we will keep you updated as we look for solutions to keep us all connected," it says in the email that was forwarded to SPORTSWEAR INTERNATIONAL by some of the exhibitors.

In February, Kingpins had already announced that its Hong Kong edition set for 13-14 May "due to health concerns and travel restrictions linked to the coronavirus epidemic in China" is canceled.
Currently, there are no news regarding the Kingpins New York (2-3 June) and China City Tour (2 & 4 September) shows.
The next Amsterdam edition shall take place as planned 28-29 October.
