Bye-bye, Westergasfabriek! Hello, SugarCity! As has just been announced in a press release, Kingpins Amsterdam will move to a new location effective with the April 2020 show.

The new venue, SugarCity, provides 40% more in square footage, from a 70,000 square foot space to a 100,000 square foot space.
Located in the town of Halfweg, the location can be reached by a 15-minute drive or 25-minute train ride from Schiphol Airport or a 10-minute train ride from Amsterdam Centraal (with a train station directly outside the venue and complimentary parking).

According to the Kingpins team, SugarCity also features a kind of "industrial grittiness and historic soul" as visitors know it from the former location Westergasfabriek.

“As much as we love the Gashouder and Westerpark, we have dreams and goals for the show that don't fit under that amazing blue dome. We have been looking for a space that captures the spirit of Kingpins Amsterdam and pushes us to the next level. I believe we have found it,” says Andrew Olah, founder of Kingpins Show.

The move does not affect the Kingpins Show schedule–the Kingpins Amsterdam 2020 show calendar remains April 22/23 and October 28/29.
