Gallery Fashion & Shoes was still optimistic back in December when announcing its hybrid event for January, but now Igedo, organizer of the Düsseldorf-based fashion trade show, goes digital only.
"As the lockdown is extended until the end of January 2021, Gallery Fashion & Shoes will consequently not be able to take place as a hybrid version with a physical presence at Areal Böhler. We have informed our exhibitors accordingly on January 8, 2021: The format will take place exclusively digitally, but with an extended runtime from January 28 to February 15, 2021. The Showroom Concept can also not take place as planned due to COVID 19 constraints," says Ulrike Kähler, Managing Director, Igedo Company.

It was also announced that the Gallery Shoes & Fashion edition will be postponed from March 7-9 to April 18-20, while the corresponding Showroom Concept will move from March 5-9 to April 16-20.
"Due to yesterday's forecasts by the German government on further foreseeable COVID-19 measures for the following weeks and subsequent discussions with responsible offices, it is becoming clear that the planning security that is important for the industry is unfortunately not yet guaranteed for the beginning of March 2021. For this reason, we have decided at short notice to postpone the date for Gallery Shoes & Fashion," says Kähler.
