The fashion fairs in Copenhagen ended last Friday. Already on the first day of CIFF, the exhibitors were satisfied. "For us it is the second time at the fair. CIFF has a strong impact, which is why we are here," says Damiano Bonardi from OOFWear in Treviso, Italy. "We decided against Berlin and consciously chose Copenhagen," says Sharon Kniest, regional marketing manager northern Europe at Wrangler. And for Ilya Nafeev, CEO, Grunge John Orchestra.Explosion from Moscow, CIFF is also the right trade fair location to approach international customers. "We have been focusing on the domestic market for the past two years, we want to change that now and we think we can do it best here at CIFF".
As in previous seasons, the exhibition was dedicated to one main theme. The hoisted European flags in the entrance area and the exhibited installations stood for the EUnify project, which dealt with the topic Europe and Brexit and set an example for the cohesion in the EU and cooperation. A dance performance by the Danish artist Esben Weile Kjær left questioning faces on some visitors, but at the end received some cheering applause. Well, as we all know, art is in the eye of the beholder.

The Raven area turned out to be a true newcomer treasure trove this summer, where only young, progressive national and international designers such as Agent from New York, JordanLucas and Ejder from London and Séfr from Gothenburg showed their collections. Well curated, simple, but effectively staged - this makes the Raven area a special trade fair experience for buyers and retailers.

One of the biggest innovations for the next summer edition in 2020 will be CIFF Sporting, a new area dedicated exclusively to sports brands and equipment. Kristian W. Andersen, CEO CIFF: “Our biggest project will be CIFF Sporting. We are planning a total new area at the fairground. It is supposed to combine fashion and performance wear. We are also planning to build a basketball court as a permanent installation at the trade show area.” It remains exciting in Copenhagen.
FAVORITE NEW LABELS:
AGENT
Agent is based in New York and was launched in 2018. The collection is mainly aimed at men, but some pieces are also unisex. At first glance the designs look classic, at second glance you can see how the label breaks with traditional silhouettes and sets playful, fashionable accents.

EYDER
From an own store to an own brand - Ejder originally started as a menswear store in London and offers independent designer brands for the ever-evolving streetwear consumer. The success of the store led to the foundation of an own brand. Ejder means dragon in Turkish and stands for a cool streetwear with a little extravagance.

SÉFR
Séfr was founded in 2016 in Gothenburg and is menswear label that hits the nerve of the moment. Simple design meets small playful details, masculinity with a good dose of feminine allure - this is what Séfr stands for.

BUSTER'S WORLD
Niels Gundtoft is the leading designer of Buster's World. He studied at London's prestigious Royal College of Art and presented his graduate collection in 2016. Buster's World is a brave mix of pop culture and simplified Lego caricatures, playful and definitely an eyecatcher at every shopfloor.
