Also on stage will be Andrew Olah, founder of the Kingpins Show, who has recently started a special collaboration with BDE. The US trade show organization that hosts denim supply chain shows in New York, Hong Kong, China and Amsterdam has recently started the process of requiring all exhibiting denim mills participating its Kingpins Amsterdam show to meet or exceed standards in corporate social responsibility, environment and chemical usage (read more here). Starting with this November edition also BDE will ask its exhibitors to adopt the same standards that Kingpins Amsterdam is requesting.

Mostafiz Uddin, the organizer of BDE, explains why he chose to focus on responsibility for this edition of the show: "The way that business and product development is conducted can have far reaching consequences on the environment, on workers and the product’s end use and lifespan. It is the duty of all stakeholders in the apparel industry to acknowledge this responsibility and to analyze our business practices, for the benefit of all."
