This edition was the last of Greenshowroom and Ethical Fashion Show. From now on it will go under the new name Neonyt. As announced in June, the Frankfurt trade fair company, as the organizer of the green trade fairs, has worked on a sustainable concept that plans to expand the event as a global hub for future topics in the fashion industry in cooperation with the conference FashionSustain, the #Fashiontech organized by the Premium Group and other events and showcases. The aim is to permanently escape the niche and to install and raise awareness of the sustainability topics in the broad market.

The best-known newcomer was certainly Ecoalf, but the event still missed well-known names such as Recolution or Knowledge Cotton Apparel, who had already chosen a different platform in January.

New was a small beauty area on the ground floor behind the entrance with three labels.

The FashionSustain conference, which was launched in January, was held once again. This time the focus was on shoes, sneakers and all kinds of footwear with speakers from labels such as Ecoalf, Mela and Veja among others.

Under the title “Greenshowroom Selected,” the catwalk show was held for the first time under one roof with Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. Labels such as Anne Bernecker, Antonia Zander, Buki Akomalafe, Ecoalf, Lanius and Tauko as well as labels from Ethiopia such as Mafi, Meron and Samra were on show.

See our highlights here:

Ecoalf
Since 2009, the Spanish brand offers collections made of organic cotton and parts made of recycled ocean plastic.

Long Chen
The German-Chinese joint venture processes organic cotton and polyester for its jackets. What makes it special is that the materials are not mixed so that they can be returned to the recycling cycle and the layers can be separated again.
