Attendees were involved in workshops such as the one at Bronx Shoes that invited people to personalize a pair of sneakers. A tattoo artist, make-up artists, nail art and styling experts were also available.

Among exhibitors there were ethnic and creative jewelry brands, scarf, kaftan, accessory and knitwear manufacturers. Great emphasis was given to eco-friendly products as many exhibitors presented their newest development in this field alongside womenswear and accessories.

Best denim brand: Gang

The German jeans brand presented a wide selection of jeans including Eco Line By Gang, employing denims that require less water and chemicals. Each jean is completed with eco-friendly trimmings such as cork labels and zippers whose ribbons are made with recycled PET yarns. It also presented a selection of jeans washed in Italy by specialized laundries and another capsule 100% Made in Italy jeans.

Best creative ideas: Linkkens and LPJ

Dutch footwear manufacturer Linkkens offers Made in Italy shoes and sneakers carrying exact reproductions of renowned art masterpieces, though produced according to sustainable productive techniques. Décolleté, for instance, use vegetal tanned leathers only, while most sneakers’ uppers are made either with vegetal tanned leathers or recycled PET fiber fabrics, while soles are also obtained from recycled PET bottles.

German creative studio LPJ has started a series of collaborations with brands and textile manufacturers to collect most of their production leftovers and employ them in new pieces such as rugs, blankets, home decor and other textile pieces.

 

Best footwear: Diesel and Steve Madden

Diesel Footwear presented a series of sneakers and slides with detachable velcro decorations that can alter the look of the shoes and make them look completely unique.

US footwear brand Steve Madden launched high-heel stilettos completely covered with crystals or glittery uppers. Other styles carry transparent uppers while some boots are made out of studded semitransparent rubber.
