For the first time Selvedge Run took place in a fantastic new location, the old Palais am Funkturm built in 1956, just a few steps behind Panorama. The architecture of the building is incredibly beautiful and matched perfectly with the collections shown. If the spot gets better known among the buyers it will be more crowded in the forthcoming editions. That’s for sure.
André Reitmeyer from Noodles, Noodles & Noodles Corp., was more that satisfied. He provided the retail furniture for the whole event and saw a lot of international buyers. “I met people from Canada, Switzerland, Italy, Japan,” he said. “Our business is really good at the moment. Of course, at end-consumer fairs I see more than 200 people a day, but that is another kind of business.”

Chris and Jessica Chory, owners of Four Aces store in Bremen, commented the show in only fivewords: “Nice, relaxed, busy–as usual”.
Stetson
“For us the business here is stable,” said Klaus Kirschner, managing partner of the European licensee of Stetson Hats. “We are absolutely satisfied with the business. And also very happy that the air condition is working perfectly,” he commented about the hot temperatures outside.
Merz B. Schwanen
“Generally speaking, all our wishes from the last edition came true: There is a separate entrance now, the air con is good,” said Robert Gauck, head of sales at Merz B. Schwanen. “But we want to see more international people here. Our most important shows are Man and Woman in Paris and New York–both of them are much more crowded. So hopefully people get more aware of Selvedge Run.”

Fine Creek Leathers
For Yasuhito Ueda from Fine Creek Leathers from Japan it was the first time he ever showed his collection in Germany. Ueda was still a bit jetlagged as he just arrived from Tokyo, but felt that the atmosphere in the building was very unique.
