Bluezone, the denim trade show of Munich Fabric Start, is just around the corner. The show will be held September 4-5, 2018 in Munich’s Zenith Halle area and according to its organizers will host a record of well over 120 international exhibitors from the denim and sportswear categories.
This edition is named “Perpetuum Blue” and will have a special highlight – The Bluezone Festival: The outdoor spaces around the Bluezone hall will also host exhibitors with the intention to intensify the show’s "business atmosphere" and "due to high demand". It will be characterized by a street festival atmosphere and will also present new technologies, the latest process solutions, new projects and vintage showrooms.
Among novelties on show there will be Atelier & Repair presenting a cooperation between Candiani Denim and Lenzing, to be hosted at Candiani stand at Catalyser, in Hall 6. Rantex will introduce its new sustainable concept Eco Colors. Berto will exhibit Regenerated Fabric, a special fabric selection made out of production waste as part of its Pianeta Fabric Development program. Naveena DNM will launch Wraptech, a high-tech new denim project and Soorty will launch its new Zero Waste Water Collection.
Among newcomers there are Desert Studio, Pizarro Wiser, Hyosung Creora and Imatex, just to name a few. Landes and Azgard 9 are back on the exhibitors list. Also participating will be Indigo People, Sashikodenim, Vintage Showroom x Orta, Die Designwerkstatt, Denim Boulevard, Hamansutra, SAAT, Tintes Egara x Mountek. The organisers of the New Heritage Festival will also join Bluezone and will present their (end consumer) trade fair concept with a selection of their exhibitors including Schiesser, Blaumann, Studio Munique, Starrgang Bike, East London Liquor Company.
Bluezone’s overall leitmotif, “Perpetuum Blue,” is chosen as an expression synonymous with the denim market and industry’s focus to constantly evolve. The show will also reveal how this market renovates itself and generates a series of parallel universes such as High Fashion vs. No-Fashion, Futurist vs. Realist, Individualist vs. Pluralist–themes that will be visible within the show’s booths and trend areas.
Munich Fabric Start, the main show hosting Bluezone, will be held September 4-6, 2018 at MOC and the Zenith premises and will host 1,050 suppliers showcasing more than 1,800 fabric and accessory collections for fall/winter 2019-20.
Further events will complete the show’s program, among them Li Edelkoort’s “Exclusive Trend Seminar,” to be held on September 5. The Keyhouse will also host talks on future fabrics, new technologies, bionomics, wearable technology and macro-trends including NextTex Innovations Showcase and FashNerd‘s Wardrobe of the Future.
Closing the first day of show will be the Munique Moods after show party, to be held on September 4, at 6.30 pm, in the Bluezone Festival Area.
