Antonio De Matteis, CEO, Kiton, is the new president of Pitti Immagine, appointed in place of Claudio Marenzi, owner, Herno, who had occupied the same position until since 2017.
Antonella Mansi was confirmed as vice president. In addition to them, Raffaello Napoleone and Niccolò Ricci were also confirmed to the board while seven new directors were appointed: Giovanni Basagni (President, Miniconf), Stefano Borsini (General Manager, Manifattura Igea), Ercole Botto Poala (CEO, Tessitura Successori Reda and President, Confindustria Moda), Niccolò Moschini (Corporate Communications and Institutional Relations Director, Kering Italia), Marco Landi (Landi Board Member and Federmoda President), Lorenzo Nencini (Incom CEO) and Marco Palmieri (Piquadro President).
On behalf of the Board, President Antonella Mansi thanked the outgoing president, Claudio Marenzi. She emphasised his determination in governing the company in critical times and to make the necessary decisions to secure it. "He has been able to take the company to positions of international vanguard in the integration of physical and digital fairs, as well as to expand Pitti Immagine's product portfolio," she said.
For the next three years, maximum attention will have to be given to the acquisition of specific skills and the search for innovative organizational models consistent with the challenges facing the company.
The other fundamental game of the next few years-not only for Pitti Immagine and the Group, but for the city and its exhibition system-is the restoration and modernization work on the Fortezza da Basso, the construction of which will have to be managed with the aim of still guaranteeing the smooth running of the fairs. For this, CFMI and Pitti Immagine will have to offer constant and qualified cooperation to the City of Florence and Firenze Fiera.
