What is Fashion Cloud?
Fashion Cloud was founded in 2015 from the merger between a Dutch and a German partner. It is now owned by the management team as well as by some investors from the industry - both with a brand and retail background. It now counts 100 employees and operates through offices in Hamburg and Amsterdam, serving brands and retailers all over Europe.

We focus on the fashion wholesale market, and we have been growing constantly over the last years.

Today more than 600 brands and 18,000 retailers from all over the world use our services.

What differs your platform from your competitors?
Our vision at Fashion Cloud is to help the industry to connect and work together digitally. The key is our understanding of the industry as a collaborative community. So not only are we close to brands, but we also have close relations to retailers.

Moreover, we offer more than just digital pre- and re-order services. We are an all-in-one solution for brands and retailers who want to work together through the web.

For instance, we offer smart replenishment services. We receive sales and inventory data from retailers who can decide to share them with brands. This way, we offer a smart support in season's orders management, which helps to decrease unnecessary orders.

We also stand out with our content platform as 750 webshops automatically receive product pictures and descriptions of the collections they sell online. We are now asking brands to provide information about sustainable certifications for their retailers’ web shops with the aim to inform consumers about what they are buying more transparently. Product content is recalling always greater attention from both brands and retailers since e-commerce is always being used more.

Which other the benefits can a company using your platform get?
Brands and retailers do more business together by using Fashion loud. We also contribute to lower returns and produce less waste thanks to our smart replenishment service.

Together with brands and retailers, Fashion Cloud can help to shape the future of the wholesale community towards a more connected and intelligent market. We take away manual processes and provide the tools to make informed decisions about stock management, selling online and similar aspects.

Which new services are you launching?
One of our newest products is Smart Replenishment. It is a service based upon brands sharing their inventory data (NOS collections, or in-season stock) and upon retailers sharing sales and inventory data. With this product, we are following a collaborative approach, using this data and smart algorithms to make sure the stock is in the right place to sell.

In practice, retailers and brands are given tools to communicate their stock data and improve their order processes. The Fashion Cloud algorithms support retailers in keeping track with the latest sell-out developments. Automatized reorder suggestions and dynamic stock targets lead to an order increase of 10-30%.

Smart replenishment helps to make order processes more efficient and decreases risks for suppliers and retailers, while having the top sellers in store at all times. It also allows brands and retailers to become more sustainable because our system can help reduce waste by actively putting the right stock in the right stores.

What are your future objectives?
For us, working more sustainably is an important topic. Fashion Cloud is a climate neutral company and our next step is to play a role in transforming the industry and our world into better places.

Together with brands we want to provide more transparency about the products they sell providing information about where they produce collections, what sustainability certificates they gained and similar information. Thanks to this new function, users looking for brands with specific eco-friendly characteristics and certifications can be found out through research engine. This special function will be operative by maximum end of 2022.

Furthermore, we are also trying to help brands and retailers predict how many items they should produce and buy thanks to the data we collect about previous seasons' selling results and combined with updated information about trends, colors and bestsellers requests of the running season.
