The Italian start-up SBP, Sustainable Brand Platform, and Riccardo Grassi (RG) Showroom have partnered to assist brands willing to improve their performance in the area of sustainability.
Founded in late 2020, SBP is a hub offering digital technology solutions and tools. It was born as a digital platform that through blockchain technology can assess the level of sustainability of brands through the evaluation of a combination of objective and qualitative criteria. Alex Albini, its founder and CEO, is a fashion insider who has worked for various brands including Marc Jacobs and the LVMH Group.
Riccardo Grassi Showroom is an established Milanese showroom that operates with more than 3,000 clients from 70 countries, from boutiques to department stores from very different categories including emerging markets and, increasingly, e-commerce.
Among the tools offered by the newborn partnership, there is the Sustainable ID Card, a certification that allows brands to clearly communicate their performance to all stakeholders. In this way, buyers and end consumers can learn more about the level of sustainability achieved by each brand.
Thanks to this alliance, RG Showroom can offer a wider range of services to its customers, supporting them with a tool that allows them to explain and grow their commitment in terms of ethics and transparency.
The brands that decide to join the initiative can know their strengths and weaknesses and, thanks to the combined support of RG and SBP teams, activate strategies aimed at achieving specific objectives. The two partners can help create a support service in the definition of a road map and in the implementation of concrete action to improve their performance, strengthening their level of sustainability according to a continuously evolving process.
SBP plays the role of technical partner of RG Showroom. One year after its foundation, it counts more than 90 clients including By Basics, Coster Copenhagen, Dedicated, Yatay, and emerging brands such as Béhen, Chitè, Renata Brenha and Zerobarracento. In addition to the recent partnership, it has also implemented its portfolio of collaborations with international players in the sustainable fashion industry such as Revolver Copenhagen Trade Show, The Canvas New York and Moda Lisboa.
