On April 11th, at the eve of next Kingpins Amsterdam, Transformers Foundation will hold its Transformers Conference, the first one in presence after the stop imposed by the pandemic.
The event entitled “Emerging Approaches to Sustainability: Co-creating Solutions” will take place at Tolhuistuin, 2 IJ promenade, in Amsterdam.
The initiative offers attendees the opportunity to learn and benefit from presentations, hands-on activities, and interactive group discussions that will cover topics such as decarbonization, certification alternatives, living wages, among others.
Transformers Foundation's first official live event will host three panels that will take place from 10.45AM to about 1PM and aims to offer participants the possibility to connect.
The first session of the day will celebrate the launch of the Transformers Supplier Community by inviting denim suppliers from across tiers and regions to connect and imagine how supplier collaboration could transform the value chain’s approach to sustainability.
The subsequent sessions will bring together two groups that don’t often have the chance to talk to one another: denim suppliers and sustainability professionals working across NGOs, consulting firms, brands, and financial institutions.
The organization aims to create a safe space for dialogue about the things that matter, like living wages, certifications, decarbonization, and beyond.
