The United Nations Conscious Fashion and Lifestyle Network is set to host its annual meeting, co-convened by the United Nations Office for Partnerships and the Fashion Impact Fund, on June 1, 2023, at the United Nations Headquarters in New York City. 





The meeting, with supporting partners Calik Denim, Lenzing, Renewcell and The Lycra Company, will bring together more than 150 insiders, industry stakeholders, and United Nations representatives to highlight actions, solutions, and progress from the fashion and lifestyle sectors to advance knowledge and strengthen engagement to deliver the Sustainable Development Goals.





Participants will include industry advocates, changemakers and insiders including music artist Ciara; Steven Kolb, CEO, Council of Fashion Designers of America; designer Jamie Okuma; Omar Salam, founder and creative director, Sukeina; and philanthropist Madhu Vaishnav. 




Among others will participate in the discussions various creatives, entrepreneurs and executives from the global fashion and lifestyle industry including Omoyemi Akerele, founder and CEO, Lagos Fashion Week; Cecilie Thorsmark, CEO, Copenhagen Fashion Week; Niccolò Sbaraglia, head of commercial development, Polimoda; Ngozi Okaro, executive drector, custom collaborative ,and Laurence Carr, CEO and creative director, Laurence Carr, Inc.

"We look forward to hearing about the progress that has been achieved so far, as well as the challenges that continue to lie ahead."





Given the significant impact of the fashion and lifestyle sectors on society and the environment, the United Nations Conscious Fashion and Lifestyle Network 2023 annual meeting will review how the platform is dedicated to fostering transparent, inclusive, and transformative engagement of global stakeholders to drive urgent action for sustainability.
