At the end of January 2022, Rianna + Nina, a luxury label offering fancy and gorgeous one-of-a-kind designs made with treasure-hunted colorful vintage fabrics, expert craftsmanship and quality of detail, opened its first international flagship store in Paris at 34 Rue de Montpensier at the Palais Royal, the second after the first one it opened in Berlin in 2014. 
The brand, stocked by more than 40 top boutiques and luxury hotels, and worn by personalities including Rihanna, Billy Porter, Jared Leto and Madonna, was founded by two women, Rianna Kounou and Nina Knaudt, who share a love of vintage, art, and collectors’ pieces, and wanted to bring never-before-seen designs to people who were tired of mass-market luxury and desire alternative, high-end, color-rich looks. 
Kounou is one of the world's top experts in vintage collectibles and designer fashion from past decades, with over 35 years of experience to her name. She has a background in costume history, film and theater styling, and an inborn ability to treasure hunt unique fashion and accessories. She is also the creative mastermind behind all the designs of the brand. 
Knaudt’s love for vintage began at a very young age, roaming around flea markets and antique fairs with her grandmother. Her love for fashion carried her around the globe from Paris to Munich and New York, where she worked for brands such as Cartier, Etro, BMW and Bill Blass. After meeting at a vintage furniture fair in 2013, Kounou and Knaudt started collaborating together. 
“Our work is growing at an incredible rate, but we never want to lose the vibrant, personable spirit that defines us today,” explains Knaudt. “In Paris, we’ve crafted a destination where people from across the globe can experience our colorful world in person and see the beauty of the work for themselves. Creating it at the Palais Royal–a place full of art, culture, food, luxury, vintage and all the other pieces that inspire Rianna + Nina–is just icing on the cake.” 
The new Paris store is hosting an exclusive selection from the label’s Archive Collection and will also feature selections from ready-to-wear collections, an assortment of home goods, and the brand’s bags and accessories–all curated especially for this location. 
“The styles you’ll see in our Paris location are selected and created for this store and this store alone. It’s both a great introduction to Rianna + Nina, and an excellent destination for long-time fans of our label,” adds Kounou.
