Dodo, the Italian jewel brand founded on mix & match, componibility, craftsmanship and sustainability, has just opened its new flagship store and a connected showroom in a central shopping street of Milan, in via Manzoni 26.

Developed on two floors in the pulsating center of the Italian fashion capital, the store is surrounded by a welcoming atmosphere painted with tangerine, the new color of the brand that illuminates the rooms and gives a fresh, lively and contemporary effect.

On the facade, in front of the windows of the first, second and third floors of the large building, LED wall project images that tell the world of Dodo.

To symbolically open the front door is, as per the brand's tradition, a brass handle in the shape of a nugget, one of the iconic collections of the brand.

The store is characterized by three steps that lead inside to a colorful house where anyone can see the brand's jewelry in round and oval wooden cases and gold shovels, along with shelves with colored nuggets, standing sales stations for quick purchase and chests of drawers that can move and adapt to sales needs.

The space is designed to accommodate guests, on soft velvet sugar paper sofas or at the bar corner.

Brightness and lightness accompany visitors for the new space, while the ground floor ceiling is a mosaic of mirrored tiles, through which the light is reflected.

From the central area of the store anyone can access with a staircase to the first floor that houses the new showroom: here soft cushions and a second bar counter, welcome guests in a lively and hospitable environment, where the rounded shapes invite visitors to interact naturally with each element.

As one of the first brands to use 100% responsible gold mining in all of their creations, Dodo has made sustainability one of their core values.

Unrestricted by the dogmas of high jewelry, the brand has also decided to innovate its collections including new materials such as gold-plated silver, semi-precious gemstones, titanium, or recycled plastics, while using traditional Milanese techniques to make its creations.

Coherent with its core values of sustainability, equality and inclusivity, Dodo has also created “Dodo Communities” as means to encourage self-expression and acceptance, representing equality, Black Lives Matter and eco-initiatives among others.

In this spirit of belonging, Dodo also offers products meant to represent and design for all people, believing that staying together, rather than separating, is the way forward.

Over the years, Dodo’s countless animal and nature-inspired jewels have evidenced its love for nature, each containing a key message such as the Waterdrop’s "Water is life" or the Leaf’s "I’ll protect you."

These jewels help to support Dodo’s philanthropic partnerships such as with WWF Italy for animal preservation, Treedom for reforestation efforts, or the social enterprise Tēnaka for restoring ocean life.

Dodo has also always been committed to protecting the environment by supporting the wildlife and biodiversity conservation initiatives of some of the world's most recognized environmental organizations.

With this in mind, it has recently renewed its historic collaboration with WWF and taking the protection of an endangered species, the hawks bill sea turtles in the Mediterranean, to heart.

WWF's rescue and first aid centers for sea turtles or those with whom it has an agreement are located in Policoro, Molfetta, Torre Guaceto, Capo Rizzuto and Rovigo.

Over the past three years these centers have treated around 400 turtles per year, with a good percentage of the specimens treated, including through delicate operations, and then released. In 2020, an exceptional year, WWF Italy staff and volunteers intervened on 108 nests from which more than 5,000 small animals hatched and reached the sea.
