JW Anderson has opened its second flagship store and first Italian store in Milan.

The event reinforces the link with Italy that began in June 2022, with the debut of the British designer’s menswear collection within Milan's fashion calendar.

Located at No. 16 Via Sant'Andrea, in the heart of the city's golden shopping triangle, the store occupies a single floor covering 53 sq. meters divided into two main rooms, with a full-height window overlooking the street.

The space was designed by 6a Architects, former creator of the JW Anderson store in London's Soho.

JW Anderson’s new store speaks a lexicon with a clear Milanese inflection and a sophisticated nod to the city's sober and minimalistic style. The aluminum shelves and displays, as well as the neon sign on the façade, blend with elements characteristic of the city such as, for example, the handmade tiled marble floor mixing a custom blend of colors, and the walnut fluted wooden panels covering the two columns inside the store.

The decor is minimalist and Italian in flavor, dosed with a touch of self-mockery: the Cardinal Hat hanging lamp by Lutyens Furniture gives body to the main room, while the black Iklwa chair by Mac Collins and matching side tables by Benchmark Studio, with their commanding presence, depart from the classic Milanese-style living room.

On the walls, two oil-on-canvas paintings by artist Hongyan in delicate shades of green and gray accentuate the sense of refined coziness. Wolfgang Tillmans' images hanging in the dressing room create contrast, reaffirming the stark juxtaposition as JW's identity trait.
