China's genderless designer brand Bosie joined forces with Chinese brand experience design company Leaping Creative to develop its latest store in Shanghai. The result is the brand’s first super experience store called Bosie "Space".
On 2,000 sqm Leaping extends the story around the brand's virtual IP image and creates a Star Trek-like setting while extending the original single apparel category into a composite business mode overlapping with trendy games, desserts and snacks, interactive three-dimensional devices, and pet intimate experience.
Restricted by the renovation of the old building, Leaping uses a matte stainless-steel skin to clad the nearly 40-meter-long critical facade. On the second floor, the designers use subtle curves to contract inward to form narrow slits that let natural light into the interior space, reminiscent of the portholes of a spaceship. The building's original elevator shaft has been transformed into a floor-to-ceiling screen that continuously plays a "time jump" themed concept video.
On the second floor, explorers enter the "inner cabin" of the spaceship from the "outside", and at the end of the "tunnel", new media is used to dynamically proclaim the pioneering spirit of the place. The screen matrix of 92 small screens and the giant "Bosie Goose" IP shape increased the uncertainty of the subsequent experience. The screens repeatedly play the Bosie "Space" visual concept dynamic video, which aim to make people feel like entering the cockpit of a spaceship.
To create a movie-set-like laboratory atmosphere, the accessory area uses dotted metal islands, while the iconic trays and emergency buttons of the laboratory also appear in various shelves to increase the credibility of the scene. The pet mobile cart on the second floor and the children's pet area on the second floor meet the current demand of young people for "pet-friendly" services in offline stores, providing a more interesting space for people and pets to get along and explore more possibilities of Bosie's offline composite business.
