Adidas Terrex, the outdoor division of German sports brand Adidas, opened its first European flagship store in Munich. Situated at the foot of the Alps, the store wants to be the place to go for the local outdoor community.

According to the company, the focus of the store, which is located in Munich's city center on Sendlinger Straße, is primarily on sustainability, digitalization, and community. The particularly sustainable store construction, sustainable products, e.g. made from recycled polyester, or special on-site services, combined with digital in-store innovations, shall lay the foundations for an advanced consumer experience. As Adidas claims, it’s the Adidas brand’s most sustainable store to date.

In addition, great importance is attached to the engagement of local communities, such as the Adidas Runners, and regular interaction with them. The store is also supposed to serve as a hub for the outdoor community. This shall be achieved, for example, by holding regular events, some of which including athletes, or by organizing talks or workshops. The adidas membership program "Creators Club" will also be brought to life in the store, offering consumers a seamless experience between online and offline shopping.

On a 370 sqm sales floor, the store provides access to the entire Adidas Terrex product offering. Created in close cooperation with Terrex athletes, the store offers product ranges in the hike and mountaineering categories, as well as equipment for trail running, mountain biking, climbing and winter sports.

“With this store, we underline our strategic focus on outdoor, and set the bar in sustainability standards and modern sales concepts,” said Kasper Rorsted, CEO, Adidas.
