Cilento 1780, a historic Neapolitan atelier recognized worldwide as the highest expression of Italian sartorial excellence, has inaugurated a new jewel-box-like single-brand boutique in Milan in the ancient and prestigious premises of Via Fiori Oscuri 13, former site of the Antica Farmacia Brera.
The creative and entrepreneurial soul of the maison is Ugo Cilento, representative of the eighth generation of a family that proudly hands down its sartorial clothing traditions and craftsmanship skills from father to son.
As in the historic Neapolitan boutique at Via Riviera di Chiaia 203, Ugo Cilento wanted to enhance the surroundings of the new Milanese boutique in the heart of the Brera area of Via Fiori Oscuri 13, respecting its historical elements in the design and renovation of the premises that first housed the Spezieria Brera, and then the illustrious pharmacist Carlo Erba, founder of the eponymous company that has run L'Antica Farmacia since 1837.

Today, in the boutique, furniture and objects from Ugo Cilento's atelier are housed alongside a wide range of antique pharmacy memorabilia.
This distinctive setting houses the maison's iconic garments: ties, scarves, pullovers, shoes, bags, fabrics, suits, and shirts, all made to measure and made to order.

In order to celebrate the Milanese opening, Cilento has created an exclusive tie and a scarf both in pure silk dedicated to medicinal herbs as a tribute to the origins of the location. In fact the location that houses the store is near to the Botanical Garden, a green oasis in the historic Brera district where medicinal herbs have been cultivated for centuries.
The Cilento company dresses great personalities around the world, including Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi and French President Emmanuel Macron; it sells its tailor-made apparel and accessories worldwide, and particularly in Japan. It is also popular in the U.S. and Europe, with France, The UK and Spain in pole position.
