Pitti Immagine has acquired the entire stake in Danzainfiera srl (DIF), the company that owns the brand name of the event of the same name, the benchmark in the international dance world.

The show, that was created and founded in 2006 by Alessandro Sanesi's Exposervice, will take place under Pitti Immagine lead from February 24 to 26, 2023, at Fortezza da Basso in Florence.

At this appointment, the event will therefore present itself under a renewed corporate guise and with a team that, alongside the confirmed team that has organized the event so far, will see the collaboration of Pitti Immagine's planning and operational structure.

"The acquisition of Dif srl is part of a strategy to diversify the exhibition portfolio beyond the fashion core," says Raffaello Napoleone, CEO of Pitti Immagine, "to which our Group is devoting great attention: lifestyle, culture, leisure and wellness, sectors that have or can have similar modes of representation to fashion. Numbers and positioning of Danzainfiera are already very interesting, and we think there is room for further growth, in quantity and quality, even in areas where apparel and accessories merchandise are presented. From another perspective, ours is also a demonstration of confidence in the prospects of the Fortezza da Basso and the Florentine and Tuscan exhibition system."

Pitti Immagine has been extending its know-how and expertise already before as it has been organising other events, in other fields in addition to fashion, including, for instance, artistic perfumery, Italian gastronomic excellence and publishing.

"We can activate synergies and expand markets," Napoleone concludes, "but we also want to maintain the format and spirit that have ensured the originality and success of the show over the years. We must invest in the mix of professionals, schools, training and specialization institutes, promotional bodies and, of course, young people who are already Dif's most stimulating and valuable resource."
