Premium Group, an established German fashion trade show organisation is getting ready to celebrate its 20th anniversary for its next edition, taking place from 17 January 17 to 19 January 2023.
The B2B events Premium and Seek, the Fashiontech concept, and the sustainability format Conscious Club will take place together at the Messe Berlin parallel to Berlin Fashion Week.
In January 2003, the first Premium was launched in the Potsdamer Platz subway tunnel, with the aim of revolutionising fashion trade fairs and establishing Berlin as a fashion city.
The Premium Group initiated the first Fashion Week in Germany and brought topics such as sustainability and digitalisation to the forefront at an early stage. Personalities such as Katharine Hamnett, Michael Kliger (Mytheresa), David Schneider (Zalando), Holger Blecker (Breuninger) and André Maeder (KaDeWe) were on stage for this not-to-be-missed event through past years.
Many successful brands had their start at the show from Scandinavian brands like Ganni, Filippa K, Essentiel Antwerp, Tiger of Sweden, Samsøe Samsøe to the denim elite like 7 For All Mankind, Mother, J Brand, and AG Jeans.
Part of the journey was also Ecoalf, Blauer, Colmar, K-Way, Parajumpers, Peuterey, Strellson as well as Daniele Fiesoli, Aglini, and Roberto Collina. Shoe and bag brands such as Liebeskind Berlin, Copenhagen Studios, Birkenstock, UGG, Kennel & Schmenger Schuhmanufaktur and Ash.
For its 20th anniversary, visitors can expect a few surprises like, for instance, condensed content formats on current trend topics.
Next to Premium and Seek, there will also be an extended version of the Conscious Club. In cooperation with Max Gilgenmann and Magdalena Schaffrin from studio MM04, who are known as sustainability experts, a multifaceted program will be developed for the occasion.
Other highlights will include the next generation of stand presentations and brand activations at Seek as well as innovative retail pop-ups. In addition, there will be shorter walkways and improved orientation on the exhibition grounds: Premium will move to the south entrance and occupy five connected halls, making the segmentation of exhibitors optimised for all formats.
Seek will remain in hall 9. The Style and Culture Festival, The Ground, will take place again in a larger format next summer. The main focus in January, however, will be on the 20th birthday of Premium according to Anita Tillmann and Jörg Arntz, heads of the show’s slogan “Premium - That’s you!”
