E-P Summit is Pitti Immagine's event dedicated to the relationship between fashion and the digital world. "Shaping the digital future of fashion" is the subtitle of the convention that will happen on May 4 and 5, 2022 at Stazione Leopolda in Florence.
Its new scientific director is Rinaldo Rinaldi, professor at the Department of Industrial Engineering of the University of Florence, who has been working for many years on the relationship between fashion and luxury brands and ICT (Information and Communication Technologies) for the digital transition of the entire supply chain.

"The format of the Summit brings together elements of convention with trade show organization," explains Rinaldi. "It will be fashion companies telling about their experiences in front of providers of digital innovation solutions and tools, who will be able to present their services and products in the exhibition section and in the networking stages."
The topics at the center of the two-day discussion will be, among others: the digital development of creative and production processes at the basis of new collections, with particular attention to craftsmanship; new supply chains; the digital transition in support of ecology and circular economy; integration between traditional distribution and e-commerce channels; the Internet of Things; Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning; use and protection Big Data and the Cloud; the Blockchain; the Metaverse and the creation, exchange and fruition of NFTs."

International partners of the event are Accenture and Google Cloud. Among the companies that have already confirmed their participation will be: 3rand Up Solutions, Assyst, Besight, Dyna Brains, Hyphen - Group, Joor, Lectra, Ot Consulting, Prisma Tech, Remira, S3k, Sedapta, Sopra Steria, Tesisquare, Vistex and Wuerth Phoenix.
On Thursday, May 5th, there will be a panel entitled "Transparency and Knowledge" dedicated to the theme of sustainability, transparency of fashion supply chains and strategies to increase consumer awareness. Among the participants there will be Orsola De Castro, founder and creative director, Fashion Revolution.
On the same day, there will also be a round table dedicated to the analysis of the new role of physical stores in the current business scenario.
Rinaldo Rinaldi is supported in the selection of themes and contents of the event by a Scientific Committee made up of university professors, experts and high level executives of companies in the fashion and luxury sector.
