The 2023 edition of E-P Summit, the Pitti Immagine event dedicated to the relationship between fashion and the digital world, will take place April 18 and 19 at Stazione Leopolda in Florence.
"Shaping the digital future of fashion" will be the subtitle of the event.
The event returns as a forum for dialogue between tech companies and the fashion world, after launching its new course in May 2022, in Florence, with a new format and the scientific direction of Rinaldo Rinaldi, professor of the Department of Industrial Engineering at the University of Florence and expert on the relationship between major fashion and luxury brands and ICT (Information and Communication Technologies).
E-P Summit will host five panel discussions and about 20 speakers, as well as it will present five innovative start-ups selected by the event's scientific committee.
Throughout the day there will be in-depth and face-to-face discussions that will offer teams, company IT staff and fashion and luxury insiders software and hardware solutions for their business on topics such as, for example, traceability, sustainability, Web3 and shopping experience.
The conference will include a series of discussions on the future of the industry that will be implemented through a multifaceted program of panel discussions, presentations and talks by expert guests.

"In the two days of the event that will take place in Florence this year, among the main themes we will explore topics already on the agenda of operators, such as sustainability and supply chain traceability, frontier areas such as the impact of the metaverse on the intellectual property of brands and the role of social in defining new retail models. And all this always with a focus on the state of maturity of the enabling technologies on the market," added Rinaldo Rinaldi, scientific director, E-P Summit.
The tentative program for the event includes, for Wednesday, April 18, three round tables.
A talk will be dedicated to sustainability, "Transparent and circular: technology supporting sustainable fashion". It will host, among others, Francesca Romana Rinaldi, Monitor for Circular Fashion - SDA Bocconi; Francesca Rulli, Process Factory and 4sustainability, and Gio Giacobbe, CEO, ACBC.
On the same day they will hold the meeting "Digital Product Passport: opportunities and compliance standards" at which Attila Kiss, CEO, Florence Group, will be present along with other experts, followed by another talk entitled "Metaverse: from Outside to Inside. Potentialities, Critical Issues and Brand Protection in the Metaverse" which will host insiders including Sara Noggler, Metaverse and Web3 Advisor, and Andrea Lorini, head of Collabs & Head of NFTs, Metaverse and Gaming at Luxottica.
On Thursday, April 19, shopping experience will be discussed during two panel discussions.
The first, entitled "Retail Revolution: Latest trends in retail and how technology is redefining the future" will be attended by Nicola Antonelli, CMO, LuisaViaRoma; Davide Basile, CDO, Miriade, and Jacopo Sebastio, founder and CEO, Velasca.
The second seminar entitled "Social Shopping: Selling at the Speed of Feed" will be attended by Laura Milani, head of luxury, Made in Italy, Tik Tok and Matteo Baldi, CEO, Ykone.
