Here is the latest news from CIFF, Revolver, Fashn Rooms, Innatex, ILM and Eurocis...
Copenhagen trade shows will take place
The Copenhagen fashion fairs CIFF and Revolver are to take place on their announced dates of February 2 to 4. This was announced independently by the organizers of both fairs this week. Previously, due to the high Corona infection figures in Denmark, it had been unclear whether the authorities would allow relaxations and thus the holding of certain events. On Wednesday evening, Jan. 12, the government finally announced that various restrictions on public life would be lifted again.
"We have just had the fabulous news that there are no longer any restrictions in place that is to hinder CIFF/CIFF Kids the 2-4 February 2022. So now we can truly look forward to welcoming you at Copenhagen International Fashion Fair" it read on CIFF's Instagram page. Similarly, Revolver's website read, "The Danish authorities have just announced that most of the present Covid-19 restrictions in Denmark will be lifted from next Monday [17 January]. We are therefore happy to confirm Revolver will take place 2-4 February 2022."
Fashn Rooms confirms show dates
The Düsseldorf trade fair format Fashn Rooms (successor event to Gallery Fashion) together with Showroom Concept is scheduled to take place as planned from 27-31 January at the Areal Böhler. This was announced by the organizer Igedo Company. "With the almost daily question of whether ‘Fashn Rooms’ will take place in Düsseldorf at the end of January […], the organizer would almost like to answer out loud and shout: yes, of course, because this is exactly what the new event format of the Igedo Company has been designed for, namely so that even under the notoriously difficult (but just not impossible) corona conditions, information and ordering activities can be carried out responsibly and respectfully in the fashion industry," Igedo stated in a press release.
New date for Innatex
Last week, Innatex announced that the original date in January could not be met because of Corona, now the new date has been published: the sustainable fashion fair located in Hofheim-Wallau (near Frankfurt) will take place from February 25 to 27. "We are aware that depending on their order cycle, the new dates for the winter fair will suit some labels better than others," says project manager Alexander Hitzel. "But whatever the outcome, we wanted to come to a joint decision with the sector on the new trade fair dates."
ILM: scheduled to take place in Offenbach from 5-7 March
“It’s now 7 weeks to the next ILM and we are confident that we will be able to go ahead with it at the beginning of March," said Arnd Hinrich Kappe, managing director of Messe Offenbach, the organizer of the leather goods trade show. However, it says in a statement released by Messe Offenbach, the pandemic is the deciding factor. In the current situation, developments must be observed closely before a decision is made as to whether it is reasonable to hold the fair.
In case there won’t be a turnaround in the pandemic situation, ILM already thinks of other options and to postpone ILM to 26-28 March. “It is important that our exhibitors and visitors are aware of these scenarios in good time and can also make plans for the alternative date," said Kappe. If there is still no sign of the pandemic easing by the end of March, ILM will be cancelled. "We will not hold a trade fair if there is any unacceptable risk as this would make no sense at all."
Eurocis will be postponed
Retail technology trade show Eurocis will not take place this February. This has been announced by trade show organizer Messe Düsseldorf. Instead, the event will take three month later: 31 May – 2 June, 2022. “Messe Düsseldorf decided on this new date in close coordination with the exhibiting companies and partners involved due to the dynamic infection situation and the continuing uncertainty regarding travel and quarantine requirements in the individual European countries,” it says in an official statement.
