Here is the latest news from Performance Days, Neonyt, Innatex and Bangladesh Denim Expo,...

Performance Days cancels physical edition
The team behind Performance Days has announced the cancelation of the physical edition of the performance fabrics trade show, which was scheduled to take place on December 1-2, 2021, at the Messe Munich exhibition center. The reason behind are the political Covid-19 regulations agreed in Bavaria from November 19, 2021, and the heavily restricted constraints associated with the current sharp rise in the number of infections in Munich. The focus is now–as for the previous editions–on the digital version of the show on December 1 and 2, 2021.
“After experiencing a very successful and surprisingly well-attended fair with the Functional Fabric Fair by Performance Days in Portland, Oregon last week, we have tried everything possible up to the last moment and firmly believed that we would finally set a further positive milestone with the physical edition of Performance Days in Munich. […] Unfortunately, current developments do not allow us to host the trade fair event next week, since the undisputed top priority is the protection and health of our visitors,” explains Marco Weichert, CEO, Performance Days.
The next physical event is the summer edition scheduled April 27 and 28, 2022.

Neonyt confirms January date
Neonyt will take place from January 18 to 20, 2022. This was confirmed by the trade fair organizer Messe Frankfurt. According to the latest decisions on the part of the German federal and Hessian state governments, the safety and hygiene regulations in public life and thus also at major events have been tightened, but nevertheless Messe Frankfurt is sticking to the date.

B2B visitors as well as representatives of the press can now buy their admission ticket for the sustainable fashion trade event. Admission to the show under ‘2G’ rules is therefore open to anyone who is either fully vaccinated or recently recovered–this includes all trade show participants: labels, partners and service providers, visitors and the entire Neonyt team.
"Queries by Messe Frankfurt's international sales partners and constant exchange with key accounts show valid results–the majority of Neonyt trade fair participants are vaccinated with vaccines approved in the European Union," says Olaf Schmidt, VP textiles & textile technologies, Messe Frankfurt.

Innatex: new sequence of days and more supporting program
From January 21 to 23, 2022, Innatex, trade fair for sustainable fashion, will be held at the Messecenter Rhein-Main in Hofheim-Wallau near Frankfurt. Unlike in the past, the order platform will not start on a Saturday, but will open its doors already on Friday. More than 200 labels have registered to participate so far, organizer Muveo announced.
"We decided on the new day sequence in close consultation with the exhibitors. We are thus linking directly to the Frankfurt Fashion Week, which takes place earlier in the same week in neighboring Frankfurt. With a preview night on Thursday evening, we want to pick up the industry and herald the transition to the Innatex order fair," says Alexander Hitzel, Project Manager, Muveo.

In addition to the preview night, the fair will present a new Community Area and a cooperation with the Fairmodels agency. In the Community Area, initiatives from the green fashion context will face questions from the audience. In addition, the Design Discoveries will take place again, a project that aims to support young labels and help them enter the market.

Bangladesh takes action
The organizers of Bangladesh Denim Expo have announced a date for the upcoming physical event: on May 10-11, 2022, the 12th edition of the denim fabrics trade show will be held in Dhaka after a hiatus of more than two years due to Corona.
In addition, the Sustainable Apparel Forum (SAF), a full-day congress focusing on sustainable production, was announced to be held in parallel on May 10, 2022, in Bangladesh's capital.

Last but not least, the first 'Made in Bangladesh Week' is to be organized from November 13-16, 2022. The Bangladesh Apparel Exchange (BAE) and Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers & Exporters Association (BGMEA) are behind the multi-day event. 'Made in Bangladesh Week' is a combination of 15 physical events aiming to showcase Bangladesh as a new world for fashion–how it evolved, how it has improved over the years and how Bangladeshi textile companies and their clients can work together to shape the industry for the future.
