Munich Fabric Start and Bluezone, the international textile shows scheduled to happen in Munich MOC from January 25 to January 27, 2022, and from January 25 to January 2022 respectively, have implemented the new measures for safe events and are ready to welcome the industry.
Currently, more than 600 suppliers from 33 countries are registered for Munich Fabric Start, including around 90 international denim suppliers for Bluezone, reaching fully booked halls at almost pre-pandemic level.

“We are overwhelmed: we will be able to offer more than 600 exhibitors and thus around 1,100 collections a physical platform at the upcoming MFS and Bluezone,” commented Frank Junker, creative director, MFS. “This impressive current status and the enormous support from the industry in this exceptional situation is a milestone and anything but a matter of course. Despite the great planning uncertainties, we are highly motivated to offer the industry a safe and inspiring trade show at the end of January–to build on the success of our two shows that were already realized during the pandemic,” he added.

As the organizers are aware of the great social responsibility, they planned to follow the so called 2G+ regulation, whereby only vaccinated and recovered people with an additional valid Covid-19 test will have access to the exhibition grounds. Moreover, an extensive hygiene concept, which has already been proven at the last trade shows, is regularly adapted to the dynamic requirements.
The trend theme of next MFS edition disclosing s/s 2023 collections, will be “Every.Body,” an expression that stands for a new feeling, and a new definition of individuality and community longing for personal exchange and the tactile experience of textiles–exactly what is missing without trade shows.

In the recently relaunched Resource area and the Sustainable Innovations area, the show presents the latest sustainable alternatives in a modern surrounding with the goal of simplifying the sourcing of the latest solutions and actively helping to shape the sustainable development of the industry.
Bluezone, the denim focused international trade show, will focus on the theme “The New Balance,” an aspect characterizing present time as the whole society is now looking to define new dynamics and reciprocal interactions in most different fields. As part of the challenge, the Bluezone team is looking forward to bringing together in Munich tomorrow’s game changers in technology, quality, product, saving resources and style.
With currently more than 90 denim exhibitors, Bluezone will host its exhibitors in the coal bunker and the Zenith hall. This result shows the significant support from the denim industry, because numerous premium mills, CMT solution and finishing providers as well as innovative start-ups have registered to participate.

“As organizers, we are currently facing new challenges every day. Before the pandemic, it was a matter of course for us to realize our events. Today, we really appreciate what we do: bringing people together and helping to shape the fashion and textile industry anew every season. We are incredibly proud that we manage to hold successful trade show even in these challenging times,” said Sebastian Klinder, managing director, MFS.
