In support of pandemic control measures in Shenzhen, which has recently seen an uptick in Covid-19 cases, Intertextile Apparel Fabrics and Yarn Expo Shenzhen have been postoponed to 2023. The fairs were originally due to take place concurrently from 2 to 4 November 2022 at the Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center.

“This was an extremely difficult decision to make, particularly given the amount of effort we have exerted to hold the November fairs successfully,” explained Wilmet Shea, deputy general manager, Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd. “However, with Shenzhen continuing to enforce strict pandemic containment measures, we have a duty both to support the local authorities and to ensure that participants can plan their arrangements with certainty.”

“Given the challenges facing the textile industry at present, we know how important both fairs are in supporting business growth, particularly in the Greater Bay Area. We are therefore working in close contact with the venue to find new dates next year for Intertextile Shenzhen Apparel Fabrics and Yarn Expo Shenzhen to return,” Shea added.
