The next edition of Munich Fabric Start taking place from August 31 to September, 2, 2021 at MOC Munich, and Bluezone happening from August 31 to September 1 at the Zenith area, will reunite around 800 international textile, denim and accessory manufacturers presenting their new collections and developments for fall/winter 2022-23.
To ensure that these physical trade shows are Covid-19 compliant, the show organization has created new spaces and restructured some areas. Moreover, the measures for the hygiene and safety of all participants, already adopted at Fabric Days in September 2020, will also be implemented at the upcoming shows and constantly adapted to the current official guidelines.
"We are super happy to finally be able to reunite the global textile and fashion industry here in Munich in just about two months again,” said Sebastian Klinder, managing director, Munich Fabric Start. “The great feedback from the industry spurs us on: we can offer around 800 high-quality suppliers a secure, physical presentation area at Munich Fabric Start and Bluezone. The available stand space is already fully booked. In addition to our long-term partners, we are also welcoming outstanding new exhibitors in autumn. The industry can look forward to a grandiose, Covid-19 compliant reunion and three days of the fair full of inspiration, information and new impulses."
The modified hall layout of MFS plans to showcase the Fabrics, Additionals, Design Studios and Sourcing areas across four halls and two alongside the MOC Munich. Almost 300 international exhibitors will present their textile innovations in the Fabrics Area including, among others, Lisa, Yünsa, Lenzing, Thermore and collections from agencies such as Berner & Sohn, Loomseven and Tex-Reseac. In the Additionals area, almost 90 manufacturers of buttons, ribbons, labels and other accessories will be exhibiting.
In the MOC, sustainable materials will be presented in the newly formed Resource and Sustainable Innovations area. The main theme and focus of this edition will celebrate holistic and transparent concepts under the seasonal title "Rise” showing how circular economy can offer new perspectives for inspiring collection development.
The Bluezone will take place in the Zenith Hall in a renewed format presenting a selection of international denim weavers and mills combined with a newly redesigned Keyhouse area as an innovation hub. A total of about 65 exhibitors including Tejidos Royo, Prosperity, Calik Denim, Berto, Officina+39 and Montega will present their latest developments. Advance Denim, Tat Fung, Weko and Dinghui Fashion will also exhibit at the Bluezone.
The neighboring coal bunker will become a new meeting place for lectures, panel discussions and networking as well as hosting a catering area with access to the outdoor space.
The main theme of the Bluezone will be “Back To The Future,” bringing back to the tactile experience of textiles and surfaces along with a reunion with the denim community looking for novelties from the blue denim and sustainability worlds, among other hot topics.
