Running parallel to it and also kicking off today, is Milano Moda Design, a collective event that celebrates a vast series of collaborations between fashion and design, showcasing home collections, presentations and events dedicated to design by fashion brands.
The event will be held in conjunction with the Salone del Mobile from April 17 to 23, 2023, and will present a calendar involving 30 brands and 56 appointments of whose 15 home collection presentations and 41 events.
Numerous appointments are open to the public, thus they will involve active participation also from the citizens and tourists.
The event will be promoted through the Italian Fashion Chamber-CNMI's website and social profiles, particularly Instagram and TikTok.
“Milan once again confirms itself as a focal point of creativity and design, capable of attracting personalities from all over the world to attend the city’s events, which synthesize the highest values of Made in Italy,” said Carlo Capasa, president, CNMI. “Italian Fashion and Design, which meet in this event, play a fundamental role in defining contemporary visual culture and in defining an innovative and responsible lifestyle, consistent with the instances of our time,” he added.
The appointments of Milano Moda Design, held in tight connection with Milan Design Week, express once again how the Italian craftsmanship, creativity and excellence well tell the strong synergy and close link between the sectors of fashion and design confirm that Milan is a worldwide capital of excellence, beauty and well made products.
The vast program includes the participation of Italian brands and companies, amoing others, like Armani Casa, Diesel Living, Dolce& Gabbana Casa, Fendi, Furla, Louis Vuitton, Missoni and Versace, along with events by Prada, Bottega Veneta, Etro, Timberland, Jimmy Choop and Tod's.
More initiatives invlving international fashion brandswill take paklce outside of the official calendar. Among others, there will be Benetton, Levi's, La Martina, Freitag, G-Star, John Richmond, North Sails and Tommy Hilfiger.
