Last week denim fabrics trade show Denim Première Vision announced on its website a change of dates for its upcoming events. Fabio Adami Dalla Val, Denim PV show manager, explained how Denim PV is changing its next shows’ timing.

What will happen to the next Denim PV show editions?
The next editions of Denim Première Vision will change their dates.
From July 5 to 9, 2021, we will replicate the Digital Denim Week format we started last December. It will be a 100% digital event that will be followed through our denim.premierevision.com digital platform.

Denim Première Vision Milano, previously scheduled to take place May 25-26, 2021, will move to October, 13-14, 2021. It will be the first physical event after the pandemic. It will be a hybrid event, both physical and digital, to be held at Superstudio Piú in Milan.

Although we had planned the first Denim Première Vision Berlin for November, 16-17, 2021 we thought it made no sense to hold another event one month after Milan. Therefore we kept the sequence of events but moved the debut of the Berlin show to May 17-18, 2022, also to be held as a hybrid event, both physical and digital, at Arena Berlin.

Why did you make this decision?
Considering the uncertainties of the health emergency that could further limit international travelling for the next months, in particular between May and July, the Denim Première Vision team has decided to repeat the experience of the first edition of the Digital Denim Week held in December 2020 in July and move the Milan event to mid-October when we all hope the international situation might be better significantly and more visitors and exhibitors might be able to attend the show.

The choice to repeat the digital event in July was suggested by the good results of our last December 2021 Digital Denim Event that registered 4,461 single visitors and over 8,000 consulted product files along with 1,186 participants to digital talks. The July edition will present the content initially forecasted for the physical edition of the show scheduled for May.

The digital event cannot be a substitute of the physical show, but as technology is evolving it can offer alternative and additional tools to present and promote products, also eventually for those who cannot be physically there and, once the show is over, afterwards 24/7 for 365 days.

What will the next digital denim week offer?
It will occupy a full working week–as we aim to increase business opportunities for those who access our content–through which exhibitors and visitors will be able to use for respectively presenting and discovering all the novelties for fall/winter 2022-23 trends and products, on the one side, and most innovative sustainable practices and features on the other one.

The main elements of the digital platform will include in-depth information for guiding, inspiring and planning f/w 2022-23 collections, virtual forums meant to emphasize novelties from the show’s novelties, webinars and conferences on responsible fashion, Smart Talks on sustainability in collaboration with Giusy Bettoni and speeches from exhibitors who will present their latest developments.
