The first meeting of the new Pitti Immagine’s Board of Directors, which will lead the company through the three-year period 2023-2026, was held in Florence.

The newly named president Antonio De Matteis said he is ready to develop priority guidelines for Pitti Immagine. Among them are the acquisition of specific skills and implementation of organizational models consistent with the transformations of the global market and the promotional strategies of companies; further internationalization of the fairs and acceleration on the front of integration between physical and digital; close cooperation with local authorities for the renovation works of the Fortezza da Basso exhibition venue; diversification of business sectors and lengthening of the fair season; and a decisive transition to a corporate approach characterized by sustainability and social responsibility practices.

"In pursuing these goals, I can count on a Board of Directors composed of outstanding personalities," De Matteis said. "I am sure that they will be able to make a decisive contribution, both in what is related to their individual entrepreneurial and managerial experience and in what will result from collegial work on overall strategies and programs. I also want to send special thanks to my predecessor, Claudio Marenzi, who, together with the other outgoing board members, was an inspiration and emblem, of a spirit of resilience and courage."

The Pitti Immagine Board then proceeded to confirm Raffaello Napoleone as CEO and Agostino Poletto as General Manager.

The full Board was present: Antonio De Matteis (Chairman), Antonella Mansi (Vice Chairman), Giovanni Basagni, Stefano Borsini, Ercole Botto Poala, Marco Landi, Niccolò Moschini, Raffaello Napoleone (CEO), Lorenzo Nencini, Marco Palmieri, Niccolò Ricci.
