CIFF, Copenhagen International Fashion Fair, has acquired the competitor show Revolver. The step aims to unite Denmark’s fashion trade fairs starting from Summer 2023 and reinforce Copenhagen’s position as Scandinavia’s fashion capital.

The move is set to help the entire Scandinavian industry by merging the two previously competing fairs in order to develop the overall fair experience and create one unified and coordinated fashion city and order platform.

Sofie Dolva, director, CIFF, who assumed her managing role at CIFF in August 2022, will celebrate her inaugural show taking place from 1 to 3 February 2023 in line with the show’s 30th anniversary and correspondent 60th edition. “I am humbled and deeply excited by the opportunity to lead this new and united organization, which rests on the shoulders of some of the most competent and experienced trade fair experts Scandinavia has to offer,” said Dolva.

“Now we go all in on creating even more progress and value for the stakeholders of Copenhagen Fashion Week. This merger will be the biggest power move the European fashion fair industry has experienced in many years,” she added.

Revolver’s entire organisation will relocate to join the CIFF team in their HQ at the Bella Center Copenhagen, where moving forward both fairs will be centrally coordinated, whilst maintaining the CIFF and Revolver brands, two unique fair concepts and locations with CIFF at Bella Center and Revolver at Øksnehallen taking place in the same dates.

“I am thoroughly proud of this solution. It took willpower, time, and hard work from all parties to reach this goal. By uniting each of the two organizations’ unique qualities, we can deliver a fantastic and future-proof framework which I personally and together with the rest of the Revolver team very much look forward to being a part of,” commented Christian Maiborn, founder and creative director, Revolver.
