UVR Berlin is getting a new boss. Around 30 years after the launch of the sustainable slow and fair fashion label, the founders Udo Aydt and Dirk Siever will hand over the management of the company to Anna Schieber on February 28, 2022.

Schieber has already been associated with the company for a decade: the state-certified fashion designer has already worked in all areas of the company, initially as a sales assistant in a UVR store and as a production assistant, later as a designer and production manager.

"I am very happy to grow with UVR Berlin in the next years and to continue our way with fair and as environmentally friendly as possible production methods and products", says Schieber.

UVR Berlin was started in 1992 in the newly reunited Berlin by Udo Aydt. A few homemade jackets and dresses evolved into a collection for men and women, and Aydt's partner, Dirk Siever, began to promote the business. The label initially still ran under the name "UVR Connected", then a few years ago the renaming took place. In the meantime, UVR Berlin not only creates and produces its own collection, but also sells it in its five stores and via wholesale. Other sustainable labels such as Armedangels, Vaude and Knowledgecotton Apparel are also sold in their own online store.
