Maria Cristina Pavarini is the new editorial contact for The SPIN OFF, the digital fashion trend platform published in English by TextilWirtschaft (TW). She has been providing journalistic support to the international fashion business from Milan for more than 30 years. She succeeds Sabine Sommer (formerly Kühnl), who is leaving the company at her own request after more than 20 years to redirect her professional focus.

Pavarini has been active for the publishing group since the early 1990s. Before joining The SPIN OFF, she worked for its predecessor magazine Sportswear International for more than three decades, many years hand in hand with editor-in-chief Sommer. Pavarini is considered an expert in the fields of jeans and streetwear, and in parallel she has made a name for herself explicitly in the areas of fabrics and sustainability.
"We would like to thank Sabine Sommer very much and wish her only the best for her professional future," says Gotta. "She is one of the most competent trade journalists in the fashion scene internationally and an excellent page-turner.”

Most recently, Sommer was responsible for integrating the previously independent medium into TW's brand world and established a new format with a focus on style and sustainability for the international lifestyle and trend community under the name The SPIN OFF.
