Within the exhibition “Il Sogno d'Antonio: un Viaggio Tra Arte e Tessuto" (Antonio’s Dream: A Journey Between Art and Fabric) inaugurated in October 2021 and running until January 2022, held in Como, at Villa Olmo, Villa Sucota and the Chilometro della Conoscenza, the Antonio Ratti Foundation is organizing four meetings from December 17, 2021 to January 29, 2022 to explore the vision of the founder of the well-known Italian luxury fabric manufacturer Ratti through themes and passions that crossed his work and life: from business culture to architecture, from the link between art and fabric to music.

Together with the exhibition, the program of talks offers an opportunity to discover the life and story of a visionary entrepreneur, and to pursue the idea he sought and supported, of spreading and sharing cultural values.

Interweaving ancient textile artifacts from his own private collection, works of contemporary art and archival materials, the exhibition reconnects the vision and history of the entrepreneur to his places of origin, to the city where his idea of business culture developed, leaving a precious legacy that is still alive today.

The exhibition, curated by Lorenzo Benedetti, Annie Ratti and Maddalena Terragni, articulates as a path through fascinating public and private spaces, and the site of the Foundation created by Ratti in 1985, where they still keep his own textile collection.

Artworks created specifically for the occasion contribute to create a cohesive visual relationship between the artistic research, the antique fabrics, the history of Ratti and the interior and exterior spaces of the exhibition.
