Piacenza Group Spa, an Italian specialised manufacturer of highest quality fabrics and apparel, closed the year 2022 achieving significant results.

Last year the company has just begun an ambitious expansion plan with the acquisition of two Italian entrepreneurial excellences, Lanificio F.lli Cerruti Spa and Arte Tessile Snc. The deal aims to strengthen and expand its offerings as well as create an entrepreneurial "hub" of textile excellence, a project begun in 2020 with the acquisition of Lanificio Piemontese.

More recently, Piacenza 1733 acquired Lanificio F.lli Cerruti with a strategic view to strengthening its proposal of men's fabrics and adding them to Lanificio Piemontese, a significant move meant to increase its proposal in fabrics for women.

"We proudly undertook this development plan that allowed us to preserve a historic wool mill synonymous with pure beauty like Lanificio F.lli Cerruti and a modern Italian artisan reality, Arte Tessile, specialized in designs for jacquard and 'raschel' fabrics. With them we share the path of innovation, evolution and internationalization, the territory and respect for people, without neglecting, but rather giving great importance to sustainability, a value rooted in the culture and history of my family for XIV generations," said Vasiliy Piacenza, brand manager of the group.

The company has also improved its economic performance because in 2022 it recorded revenues of about €90 million, which in 2021 were €60 million, of which only €32 million were Piacenza's direct revenues.

"We have changed the way we work," Piacenza explained. "Also thanks to the latest acquisitions we have started to work in a more structured way by being able to offer a greater and more structured product offering thanks to the acquisition of Cerruti and Lanificio Piemontese. In this way we can offer in the highest quality wool that do not crease and are suitable for travel. They are, in addition, treated anti-drop and stain-resistant," the manager added.

For men, Piacenza 1733, in continuity with the choice of Bespoke fabrics, snappy and twisted but with a sartorial soul, offers fabrics in the finest pure worsted cashmere intended for both suit and jacket.
In addition, jackets with a more summer appeal are made in intimate blends of cashmere and silk and in the sophisticated blend of extralight cashmere with silk and linen.

It is presented in the exclusive "traveling tailor" case in collaboration with a prestigious British luxury luggage brand, Globe Trotter.
