Specialised denim manufacturer Advance Denim has started a partnership with Good Earth Cotton. Thanks to this agreement the two partners can offer a fully traceable denim collection made from climate positive fibers, produced using clean indigo dyeing technology.
Good Earth Cotton considers itself as the only climate positive, traceable cotton, sequestering more carbon than it emits across its entire growth lifecycle with secure, auditable data protecting provenance and transparency.
For this reason, Advance Denim has embraced Good Earth Cotton as a means of change in order to disrupt traditional farming and manufacturing practices to further improve the environmental impact of denim and cotton overall.
As cotton makes up 25% of the world’s global fiber use and the fashion industry accounts for 5% of annual global carbon emissions as the third most polluting industry after construction (10%) and food (25%), according to studies by World Economic Forum, 2021, Advance Denim intends to incorporate 90% environmentally-conscious fibers in its product line by 2023.

“Advance Denim will be adding another layer of sustainability to our Advance Sico mill in Nah Trang in Vietnam by partnering with Good Earth Cotton, bringing denim made with modern regenerative cotton to the Vietnam region,” said Mark Ix, marketing director, Advance Denim’s US. “Advance Sico and Good Earth Cotton share a commitment to sustainability and carbon reduction, and are motivated to deliver high quality, sustainable and fully traceable products,” he added.
Good Earth Cotton employs modern regenerative and smart farming practices to minimise its global environmental footprint and maximise soil health. Moreover, it is traceable as backed by FibreTrace technology, which claims to deliver end-to-end traceability backed by scientific evidence.
The first collection born from the partnership between Good Earth Cotton and Advance Denim will be released in December 2022.
